John Miranda is the general manager of Sev1Tech’s C5ISR Division. As general manager, Mr. Miranda oversees all aspects of the division including strategic planning, business development, and project management. He leads a diverse team of over 400 individuals, fostering a collaborative environment to drive efficiency, performance, and continuous improvement.
Mr. Miranda is a dynamic defense executive and veteran with more than 30 years of experience. Under his leadership, the C5ISR Division has advanced its growth trajectory, expanded its mission portfolio, and reinforced Sev1Tech’s role as a trusted partner to the warfighter.
During his 6 years with Sev1Tech, Mr. Miranda served as director of special programs and intelligence. In this role, he led mission‑critical programs focused on systems engineering, IT modernization, and new technology integration for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers.
Prior to joining Sev1Tech, Mr. Miranda completed a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, culminating as a command sergeant major within U.S. Army Special Operations Command. In this role, he served as the senior enlisted advisor responsible for organizational vision, strategic readiness, and force optimization across elite Special Operations units. Earlier in his military career, he served as a front‑line operational leader, strengthening unit performance and mission execution across diverse operational theaters.
Mr. Miranda holds an executive certificate in management and leadership from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a master’s degree in national security policy studies from American Public University System, and a Bachelor of Arts in intelligence studies from American Military University. In addition, Mr. Miranda maintains multiple professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), ITILv3, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Security+, and Joint Special Operations strategic planner credentials.
