Joe Montoya is the chief operating officer (COO) at Sev1Tech. As COO, Montoya is responsible for the implementation of Sev1Tech business strategies, plans and procedures, customer satisfaction and the establishment of comprehensive goals for performance and growth. He helps establish policies that promote company culture and vision and oversees daily operations of the company.

He is also responsible for ensuring performance metrics for revenue and profitability goals are met, managing customer satisfaction and effectively communicating Sev1Tech corporate goals to project managers and teams.

With more than 30 years of experience in IT service management (ITSM), operations and maintenance and business process improvement, Montoya has led the execution of several IT operational excellence initiatives for both commercial and federal customers that improved efficiency and delivered cost savings.

By applying industry best practices, proactive support tools and advanced enterprise management monitoring and automation, Montoya has helped customers improve situational awareness, proactively address problems before they occur and reduce the number of business downtime hours.

Prior to joining Sev1Tech, Montoya held several high-level leadership positions. He has served as an engineering fellow and vice president of Enterprise Technical services for a small business directing strategic IT operational assessments for several federal customers and conducting operational functions necessary to run the Enterprise Technical Services business unit.
