Bob Lohfeld takes the stage on CEOs You Should Know to talk about how his background and work for CBP led him to create a diverse, successful IT company that always puts its employees and missions first.

WOODBRIDGE, Va., July 18, 2023 — Sev1Tech’s CEO guest-starred in a podcast called CEOs You Should Know, presented by M&T Bank and powered by iHeartMedia, to talk about his 13 years of CEO experience growing from one to 1,000 employees and what he believes makes a company stand out and excel.

Sev1Tech, a leader in providing information technology, engineering and science, was founded in 2010 after Lohfeld wanted to use the knowledge he gained working for US Customs and Border Protection to aid federal and commercial sectors with a unique technological approach.

In the podcast, Bob talks about what makes Sev1Tech stand out amongst industry competitors. Having a communitarian approach in the workplace, taking calculated risks and recognizing and celebrating his employees’ dedication, knowledge and drive are Bob’s most valued assets and the reasons for his company’s success.

“The saying at Sev1Tech is everything is about the space between your ears,” Lohfeld said. “How well do you deliver when we put you on stage, and how hard do you work to be the best in your domain?”

This mindset has made the company a leading example of diversity and inclusion in the corporate world.

Diversity and inclusion have always been at the forefront of Sev1Tech’s values. Bob mentions one of the ways Sev1Tech engages in these values by talking about its annual Diversity in Golf and Information Technology (DIG IT) golf tournament.

After picking up golf in 2020, Bob noticed the golf course looked much like the IT industry- primarily consisting of white men. Bob turned this observation into an opportunity to encourage women and minorities to go against the grain and change how the IT industry (and golf) looks.

Bob’s values have bled over into his company’s culture, setting it apart from others in the industry, creating many opportunities and continuous exponential growth.
